8 powerful reasons to always believe in yourself

8 reasons to believe in yourself

We all have self-doubt from time to time and it is normal. After having a job rejection which you really wanted to get, after a breakup in what you put your whole soul and body, after failing an exam for which you studied hours and hours – you name it – it is common to feel a bit low. Of course, you had high hopes and things didn’t work out as you wanted to. Give yourself time to be emotional but then step up again and believe that next time it will happen!

Why is important to believe in yourself?

You are the one who manages your life. It is never luck, never fate (okay, maybe sometimes we can call it), never up to someone else. It is always you.

1. You are the one who pushes yourself to go forward – after a rough patch, you need the energy to leave any failure and negativity behind yourself, try again and do it better.

2. Believing yourself gives you confidence – you can do it, you are worth it, you will reach any success that you have in mind. Never give up after the first try.

3. You know what your goal is, – what you are capable of and what your lack of skills to reach it is. Knowing yourself helps you to figure out the next step which brings you closer to your goal.

4. You can more likely to ignore jealous people negativity and destroying opinion, if you have a strong vision and belief – there is always someone who is afraid to take an opportunity what you are going to and they try to stop you just because they don’t have the courage to live their life.

5. It definitely makes you stronger – you learn how to get through difficult situations, you know you are able to pick yourself up (as you did it before) and you can wipe off any negative thoughts you have and give your 100% again to do it.

6. You can motivate yourself – you don’t need to wait for someone to push you. You will be your own support who is always available.

7. You can adapt to a new situation – or circumstances because you are not afraid of any changes.

8. Your positive attitude will help you to succeed – when you believe in you can do anything even after failing it, it will push you to try until you reach your success.

You have the power of belief. It always starts with you, with a positive mindset, no matter how many times you need to try it. If you want it, you can reach it.

Would your 5 years younger self be proud?

Would your 5 years younger self be proud

Yes… no… maybe… I don’t know…

There are so many different answers we can get. I think it all depends on what matters? How we measure success or happiness? How we measure proudness? What do you want to achieve to be proud of yourself? List things to own? Milestones you have reached that you set for yourself by the age of 25? 30? 40…? Do you consider happiness as something to be proud of? Continue reading

How easily do you change your mind?

change your mindset

I think it depends on what is on the table. Sometimes, I feel jumping between options but when I am thinking about my habits it can be hard to be consistent with a new perspective.

I have read a book about taking pictures for Instagram and other social media sites. It was a lovely Xmas present and finally, I had time to finish it. The book is about change your general perspective and always tries to explore different shapes, colours or subjects when taking photos. It can reflect on our lives as well, I guess it doesn’t harm anyone to change our view from time to time. Continue reading

How to adapt to a situation

How to adapt to a situation

Recently, we moved into a new flat and I jumped into decorating it. I am so obsessed with decoration and design (at some point I was thinking to be a graphic designer but never happened… yet…) and usually, I try to buy cheap DIY staff and create myself something which gets in shape in my mind or just order a wall sticker and place it. This time – of course, because of the coronavirus and lockdown – I had to be even more creative. I had a few days of research on Pinterest that I will be able to manage to make from what I have at home and jumped into it. Continue reading

Does time anxiety exist?

does time anxiety exist

It actually does and you can give a meaning to it such as ‘is it too late’? This type of anxiety is the fear of wasting your time, not using your potential, or feeling it is too late to start something new.

I was talking to a friend the other day and what else could have been the main topic – of course – other than the coronavirus. We were sharing feelings about it and how we are copying in this unusual situation. Continue reading

How much control do you have in your life?

How much control you have in your life

I tend to think that we are the ones who have an effect on our lives.

But really?

Well, this lockdown situation made me think otherwise. We all have readjusted so many aspects of our lives. The latest situations are out of our hands.

Suddenly, we all have new and unusual restrictions that we need to follow. We had to cancel holidays, cannot go out to have dinner, cannot meet with our friends and family when we please, cannot go to a gym. Just to name a few – and the list can be endless.

These are all against my – and so others – plans of course, but these weeks also have taught me to be more flexible and acceptor. It taught me to be more understandable and let things that I cannot change go of my hand. I try to be more creative when planning my day ahead of me, I try to take it easy when my questions are answered only last minute.

It is quite difficult for a person who has straight plans about her life, who likes to make plans, calculations and even spreadsheets to be everything is place. For someone who likes everything organized.

What helped me to accept the situation is greatness. I felt lucky to still be able to go ahead with my moving last week. Even we don’t have half of the furniture for a while, it is okay. I am grateful that my family and friends are healthy and safe for now. Everything else seems so little.

We are only dust in a big machine. It is up to us how we react to any situation that happens with us. We can be angry, disappointed or sad but everything happens for a reason and it is time to reflect on how we want to live our lives. Being frustrated and waste our energy on unchangeable situations or being more flexible and see how we can use the circumstances that we have.

Why I am grateful for each babysteps?

Why I am grateful for each babysteps

I am in the middle of my room around a big mess and trying to put my life into boxes. We are moving into a new flat on Saturday.

I am trying to sort out what comes and what goes to charity – when they will open again… My London-life… It happened 6 years ago. I packed a bag and booked a flight to London. I would say it definitely was the best decision in my life.

So many things have happened since I arrived in this (for me) new country. I have had different jobs, apartments, opportunities to grab and lose. I have become friends with so many people and lost connection with so many from the past.

Every step was about moving forward and each move was a bit better than the previous one. I always have had a bigger picture in my mind where I am and where I want to be. Sometimes I could move on quickly, but sometimes time just didn’t want to come.

Working on better chances, circumstances or just call it life is hard effort. These 6 years have taught me whatever want to do in your life is only up to you and your dedication to that goal.

Whatever stage you are in your life it can be better and it will be better. You are the one who can decide what you want and have endurance working on it and make sacrifices.

Change your habit, change your mindset and realize you are the leader of your life. Before that, you always would blame your circumstances, your past, people around you, not having enough opportunity to break out of your current conditions.

Don’t give up. Remember if ‘Plan A’ didn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters! Keep going on!
