Spending Christmas with loved ones

Christmas without family

This is my 5th Christmas not being with my family, staying in London and spending time with my partner and friends.

I have lost a spirit in the last few years when I still lived in Hungary. The expectations bother me. Somehow everything has to be perfect for and during Christmas, nobody can say an angry word, we must love our brothers and sisters and we must be good for a few days.

I reached a point when I found this very dishonest. Why those `rules` state for only 2-3 days? We should be kind to others for the rest of the days as well. I believe it is okay to acting as it is a normal day like any other. And anyway – I remember – something always happened and we ended up in a fight. Continue reading

Winter Wonderland – twice this year

Leave a comment Standard

It’s cold, it’s crowded, it’s not the cheapest winter program to do but still… once during the winter season, you have to go to Winter Wonderland.

This year I had been there twice – Am I going to be a fan? Hm… haven’t decided yet but it could be really fun visiting it with a friend. At least it’s a chance to hang out together for a few hours and do something different. Continue reading

What to buy for Christmas?

Christmas is coming and everybody is desperate to find a perfect gift to their loved ones. I like to find personalized gift ideas which I know the person will like it well. Birthdays, Xmas, Anniversaries or for any big event I make an effort to find the right gift. Most of the time I do it very well, but sometimes I just do not have any idea and stress myself out because the clock is ticking. Continue reading

I am blogging for a year now.

…I launched my first blog post after three months of planning, information searching and brainstorming. I was in a place where nothing had sense, so I needed to do something. I had a lot of time and I wanted to use it well.

Have you ever had a feeling when you know exactly this is the time? No more excuses, no more time-wasting, no more regret, just actions? Well, I felt something like that. I felt this time must work. I was tired of waiting for the big opportunity.

When you don’t have a chance to do what you really want, create one for yourself. It could be anything, really.

I created a place for myself where I can do what I always wanted to do, writing. Also, it gives me a great opportunity to learn more about marketing and business.

After a year, I am still here, sitting in front of my laptop and writing my weekly posts. Continue reading

Say yes to an opportunity - Three years together

My friend – who I lived with – invited me to a Hungarian gig party where I went; even I hardly know the band, but sounded fun. He also invited one of his workmates. We met in our flat for chit-chat and made a journey to the party together. The gig was awesome and the after-party was splendid. We definitely had a great time. The day after he sent me a friend request on Facebook and we started to chat… That’s how it started… 3 years ago… Continue reading

Perfectionism or Self-sabotaging

Perfectionism and self-sabotaging

I have read a blog post about self-sabotaging and it made me realize this is what I used to do!

Of course, I didn’t give a phrase to my actions at that time, but I always found a reason not to do something I really wanted to do. I always wanted to do something 100% perfect before I even started or practice it! But this is not possible – I know it now. Continue reading

3 days in Manchester

Machester reviewMy boyfriend got a new job and he has one week of training in Manchester. We have never been there so we decided to explore the city for a weekend. He left London on Monday morning and I joined him on Friday morning.

I got a train at Euston Station and 2 hours later I was sitting at Caffe Nero at the corner of the Piccadilly Station, sipping my English Breakfast tea and waiting for him to finish his final exam.

The first thing I have realized how cold it was. Even though, I had my winter coat and boots I was freezing. It was not Manchester’s fault, but I identified winter is here. Continue reading
