Figure it out what do you want

The most important thing is to find out what do you want to do in the next week, month, year or in your whole life. Without it, you don`t know what is your first and next step, what you need to use, where to need to search for.

What is your dream? What would you like to do when time or money don`t matter?

Studying or teaching languages? Writing a novel or articles for magazines? Organizing events and parties? Playing in a band or dancing in a ballet?

When I stuck at my plans, I always use the following method.

  1. Get an A4 white paper and divide it 4-5-6 equal spaces depend on how many things you are interested in. Name each topic.
  2. Write down what do you need to do to get started.
  3. Find connections between them. For me, both writing a novel and blogging require creative writing. So I definitely need to learn more in this field. Because of some overlap, your steps are shorter than seems to, which is great.
  4. Decide which is the most important or reasonable topic to start. I want to learn Graphic Design but because I don’t know anything about it, it will require my full attention. But I have already known many things about writing, blogging and its marketing, so obviously it will be faster to learn more about it.

Don`t panic if you are not sure about your goals yet. Check different courses, videos, get opinions from friends or even strangers! Check what others do! Could you do the same? Or more importantly – Would you love to do it?

Work on it until you find it and get prepared. It is not a sprint, it is a marathon. But you get the goal at the end.

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” Martin Luther King Jr.
